Safeguarding Assurance

The Teaching Team have a thorough safeguarding and vetting process for all of our team members. This is extremely important for schools as each individual needs to be fully vetted to work with the children and your school.

We have outlined the stringent processes we undertake to ensure our team members are fully cleared and able to work with your school.

Our safeguarding and competency commitment to you:

  • In-depth face to face interview
  • Verified 5 year employment history
  • Professional references covering a minimum of the last two years
  • Identity checks
  • Proof of Address
  • Qualification verification
  • Eligibility to work
  • Enhanced DBS Certificate: All of The Teaching Team members are fully DBS checked and it is a requirement that they sign up to the ‘DBS update service’ this enables us to regularly check their DBS details. If our members do not sign up to the current ‘DBS update service’ when they have had a new DBS completed they will be required to redo their DBS with The Teaching Team each year.
  • Overseas police check or letter of good conduct (if applicable)
  • DBS Update Service status check
  • ISA barred list check (previously List 99)
  • National College for Teaching and Leadership (NCTL) or Prohibition check on all qualified teachers.
  • Childcare Disqualification Declaration
  • Medical history declaration
  • Photographic identification badge
  • Safeguarding confirmation

These checks are repeated regularly to ensure we are fully up to date.

Booking supply

Booking a supply teacher, nursery nurse or teaching assistant couldn’t be easier, we use email, text messaging (07891924603) and the good old fashioned telephone call (0116 2832200). Our variety of methods are here to suit your needs, so if you want to talk we are free to speak to you anytime, if you have a busy schedule simply text or email your supply needs over to us.

Flexibility is the key to our service. We are available to speak, text or email 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Timesheets

As time is precious we like to make things as easy as possible, we will simply send over a list of team members who have worked with you during the week, this is sent each Friday and with a simple ‘confirmed’ reply this is completed. Saving you time to get back to the more pressing matters of the day.
